Every Thursday, I’m going to start posting old Gorillaz relics as a callback to Phase 1, 2, and 3. My first post is a 5-part Youtube series of the Gorillaz Hijack on XFM, a radio program which originally aired on March 25, 2001.
The audio came from Murdoc’s radio in his Winnebago, hence the bad quality. (I think it streamed from real audio player.) I happened to actually snatch the audio back in 2001, and uploaded this to Youtube around Phase 3 era.
Radio program includes HILARIOUS commentary by Russel and 2D of Gorillaz, and a mix of their favorite and most influential tunes.
